It’s March and the AI madness continues. As college basketball teams are surviving and advancing their way to the National Championship Game, AI in the healthcare setting is in a battle of its own. Some physicians fear that digital technologies get in the way of face-to-face relationships, yet consumers are more ready than ever to accept it as it continues to improve the patient experience.
But does it have to be all or nothing? Not necessarily. When AI and digital technology is implemented correctly, it shouldn’t interfere with the doctor-patient relationship, but rather support and elevate it.
Whether AI tech is used to enhance relationships, engage patients, or to completely overhaul operational procedures, the machine learning technology keeps advancing, growing, and inspiring more and more opportunities for healthcare organizations. Those that don’t act quickly to implement it, risk it all.
One thing is for sure – AI is the biggest game in healthcare today and like on the basketball court, there are winners and there are losers. Which side will your team be on?
